Maybelline Intense Volume XXL
By LifeAdvicesite.com
Everyone
wants to have long, full, luxurious eyelashes. Long lashes help draw
attention to the eyes, and increases our eye-batting power (wink,
wink). Not only that, but long, full lashes help to visually open the
eyes, creating the effect of wide, alert eyes. |
Standing in an aisle full of mascaras that all seem to be a little overly redundant in their promises to deliver longer, fuller lashes,
it can be difficult to known which one to try. A recent trip to the
beauty department revealed a decent option in Maybelline Intense Volume
XXL. Perhaps it was the use of the word "intense" or maybe the step
beyond not just "XL" but "XXL", but they seemed very committed to their
promises, so I was sold.
The
mascara comes in a two-sided tube which is applied in a two-step
process. First the white microfiber solution is applied. Yes, I
wondered what the deal was with the microfibers, too. After application
I noted how the microscopic fibers latch onto the lashes creating
volume and length in every direction. Impressive! Who would have
thought of it? Ingenious! After that, the colored mascara is applied
to cancel out the white lashes created by the microfiber application,
and also to set the lashes. The lashes are long, full, and
attention-grabbing!
Bottom Line:
Maybelline Intense XXL mascara does definitely add great volume and length to even the puniest of lashes.
Caveat:
With
any mascara, there is always a danger of creating the dreaded tarantula
eyes. This mascara is no exception, and indeed is a bit more of a
risk. Apply slowly and carefully. A few extra application strokes
will clump your lashes and the microfibers, intensifying the tarantula effect. Yikes.
