We all want our lives to be full of only
good things and good thoughts. We want to be happy, have plenty of
money, success and fulfilling relationships. The movements afoot
instruct us we have the ability within our thoughts to empower change
in our life circumstances. So we attempt the techniques in an effort
to summon a better and more fulfilling life assembling neatly around
us. But it still seems there are aspects of life incongruous to a
peaceful, happy existence. This world we live in still contains
negative people, unpleasant circumstances and unwanted
responsibilities. How can we summon utter and complete happiness when
we are stuck in ridiculous traffic or caught in the monotonous routine
of pesky house chores and never-ending errands? What about all those
little things that still aggravate and annoy on a daily basis? Won't
they interfere with our earnest efforts of creating a harmonious,
loving attitude and enjoyable life?

Yes - but only if we let them.
What's
the trick to not letting them? Creating a rose-colored life. We all
know those people who seem to look at life through rose colored
glasses. Sometimes we might even shake our heads in dismay when we
think those people have their heads in the clouds, but maybe they just
know something others have yet to learn. |
In the power of our thoughts lies the
possibility of change. Often, the awesome power inherent in one's mind
is overlooked because we are too jaded or because we do not understand
the significance of the concept. Sometimes when people hear about the
law of attraction or the power we have in our thoughts to call things
into existence, it is dismissed as hogwash or hocus-pocus because the
deeper underlying meaning is missed altogether. The power of our minds
is absolutely capable of creating the life of our dreams right down to
the car, the house and the partner. But beyond that, there is more.
Even if we achieve every last dream down to minute detail, we won't be
truly happy until we've learned how to be happy. A pauper may
have nothing to his name but still experience more joy in his heart
than a king who has every worldly possession. It begins in the mind.
We want to be happy with our life. We want to see beauty in
everything, and we want to experience abundance in everything. The
first step is in the mind. If we want to see beauty, we must choose to
see beauty. If we want to feel joy, we must choose to feel joy. To
every thought there is a polar opposite that exists, and all we need to
do is find a way to channel that opposite thought through our minds and
refocus the energy in a positive way.
Whenever you are feeling frustrated with a situation or circumstance,
stop for a moment and allow yourself to focus on that feeling. What is
it about the situation that is making you feel that way? Do you know
the cause of your frustration? Is it something that can be changed?
Look for the good in every difficult situation. Seek the positive
side, and it will find you. When you focus on the positive side, it
begins to grow and completely out-weigh the negative.

The
next time you stop for gas, don't stress out about the price tag or the
inconvenience of having to stop and fill up the tank again.
Instead, think about how you are contributing to the economy with your
gas money. Appreciate the time spent outside of your car to stretch
and enjoy the sunshine on your face.
Instead of being frustrated by the lines at the grocery store,
appreciate the time you have to review the items of your cart and make
sure you remembered everything. Take advantage of the time to
reconnect with your child or spouse if they have accompanied you.
Relax and let your mind wander about what you'll make for dinner. Pick
up the phone and catch up with a friend for a few minutes.

 | Everything in life has something good waiting to be born out of it.
All it needs is the power of your mind to coax it into existence. It
doesn't come all at once, and it does take some practice. Some days it
will feel quite impossible, but it never is. We only need to find the
strength to do it. Eventually you will witness the rose-colored life
you have begun to lead.
