Declare Your Intentions Return to Self Study
By LifeAdviceSite.com

Declare
your intentions? It sounds so formal. It seems so complicated and
involved. Declare your intentions. What does that even mean? It
means determine your vision, state your ultimate goal and notate your
destination. |
Everyone
who has ever accomplished anything knows the power we have when we
determine goals for ourselves. How else could we accomplish anything
in life unless we first decide what it is we want to
accomplish? So we formulate an idea and create a vision of our future
and what we want to achieve. We set our minds to something, put the
pen to paper, pedal to the metal, the nose to the grindstone and before
we know it the goal is accomplished. It's more science than magic, but
in the end when the goal has come to fruition it can most definitely seem magical.
Declaring our intentions gives them infinitely more power. When we
think a thought, those thoughts are very powerful. Thoughts can make
us happy, or they can make us depressed. We can literally shift our
experience and feelings by simply shifting our thoughts. Since every
action begins with a thought in someone's mind, thoughts then become
the cause of everything, and our lives are the effects. Harnessing our
thoughts allows us to harness the power inherent in those thoughts.
Often
times our minds may wander throughout the day in thoughts of desired
success, wealth or certain relationships. Because we might think these
things in passing and then continue on to the business at hand, those
thoughts never really get much of a foothold in our lives. We may feel
them deeply to our core, but without organizing and arranging them so
we can clearly identify the ultimate goal, the power is left untapped.
|
When we declare our ultimate intention to ourselves and to others, we are actually claiming our life. We can write the goals down on paper, we can declare them out loud and we can share them with others. Once the goal moves from our powerful thoughts into another medium such as paper, computer or voice, it is beginning on the path to realization. The more steadfastly we declare our goals, the more real they become. A thought is powerful, but an action following a thought is hundreds of times more powerful. Once the goal is visualized and fixed in our minds, we can then focus on the goal itself. The creative pathways in our minds are opened up to allow solutions and opportunities to flow in. Once we have determined the destination, the pathways then appear before us. Every step we take then becomes another step toward the ultimate goal. Each step becomes more purposeful and more driven. In simply declaring our intention, the intention becomes realized organically. |
 |
So determine your vision. Decide what you want. Then declare your intentions to yourself and everyone around you. Once you've declared them, you own them. When you follow with inspired action, they will become you.
