Creating Confidence for Success Return to Self Study Page

Do
you know what one trait the most successful people in the world all
have in common? The one thing they share in common is confidence. You
can see it in everything they do. They tread with sure steps. They
reach for the sky on a regular basis. They become a success because
they believe they are a success, and so success is naturally drawn to
them without fail.
We all want
to be successful, but not all of us possess that level of confidence
inherent in our soul. In fact, most of us try new things with at least
some level of trepidation and sometimes even fear. Even some of the
most self-confident people you've ever meet might not always have been
so. Confidence is not something that can be artificially manufactured
or bought. It exudes from within and affects everything about a person
from their attitude all the way to the decisions they make both
personally and professionally. Confident people know they will
be successful in the ventures they pursue, and with that power of mind
they boldly step forth and achieve great things. Even when they are
not certain of the outcome they still proceed with confidence, and more
often than not, do create success. Each success gives them even more confidence to build on future successes. |
So
what do we do if we were not born with that level of confidence or if
our confidence has somehow been broken down? How do we go about
obtaining confidence in ourselves and our ability to achieve anything
we set our minds to? We have to build it - one success at a time. We
have to take it into our own hands, hearts and minds and just start
building.
You can start right now from this
very moment. Start thinking about what you have been able to achieve
since you woke up today? What else can you decide to accomplish for
this day? It may even seem like something small but if it can be
classified as a success for you and something you can accomplish in
your day, do it and then celebrate that success. As you move
throughout your day, make note of all your successes whenever they
occur. Take pride in any job well done. See all of your abilities and
learn to appreciate each and every one of them.
You can even think back over your
past and compile a list of all the successes you have made in your life
up until this point. As you see the list accumulate before your eyes,
you will begin to swell with pride as you realize all the things you
have been able to do in your life. Keep doing that! As you carry with
you the remembrance of all you have been able to accomplish, revel in
those accomplishments. That's when your confidence will be building,
and as it builds you will find the courage to take on bigger and bigger
challenges. Relish the glory of each success and use it as your
stepping stone. That's how all confidence is built - once success at a
time.
