16. The Law of Receiving Return to Self Study Page

The law of receiving is so closely entwined with the law of giving
that it could almost be considered simply as an extension of that law.
Because we must give to receive, one cannot exist without the other.
|
When
we give whole-heartedly and radiate the frequency of our desires into
the universe, we must make an equal effort to set up the expectation to
receive the gifts we ask for. The law of receiving tells us we will
receive, and it works in preparing our psyche to accept all of the good
things we are envisioning for our lives. We must know with all
certainty we are going to the recipient of great blessings, and we must
then prepare for that eventuality. By expecting the success we
seek, we correctly tune the vibrational frequency of our thoughts and
feelings, and then we immediately become open to receive.
Many
of us are in a habit of humility and often refuse the gifts offered to
us. We downplay our accomplishments rather than graciously accepting a
compliment, we refuse assistance even when we are in need and many of
us exempt ourselves from accepting what we might consider charity.
The
law of receiving seeks to restore the balance between give and take by
teaching us to be open to receiving even basic offerings such as a
compliment or a kind word from another. When we enable this automatic
reaction within ourselves, we open the door to being able to accept
greater gifts along with all of the success we are meant to have.
When we openly and readily receive, we are then in a better position to be able to give. In this way, it is so important to graciously receive everything that is delivered to us. This includes money, gifts, compliments, companionship, resources and even knowledge. Whatever is delivered to us must be accepted with open, ready arms so that we are better equipped to give and thereby keep the cycle going.
