Why Can't We All Be Rich and Happy?                      Return to Finance
By LifeAdviceSite.com

That's right.  Why can't we all be rich and happy?  Why is it that some people are wealthy and happy while others are not?  Why are some of us feeling like we're stuck in a rat race running around in circles and getting nowhere?  I submit that we are all capable, entitled and required to live beautiful, healthy and abundant lives.

Like many, I grew up without a lot of money and understandably with some negative feelings about money.  From an early age I learned not to ask for anything because I knew we couldn't afford it anyway.  The dream was there to have a lot of money one day and to live a comfortable life, but there was no practical solution to getting there.  I've always been a simple person without a huge need for material possessions.  I just wanted to live comfortably, make a contribution doing something I enjoyed and have the time and wherewithal to appreciate life.  I had a mostly positive attitude and plenty of dreams and aspirations, but I never really believed all of them would come true.  I thought there were only certain people in this world who were lucky enough to get the breaks.  Even though I knew I deserved to get a few of those breaks as well, I just wasn't sure if and when I ever would.

Like a lot of people I was exposed to "The Secret".  It contained a lot of the principles we already practiced in our house like being positive, loving, grateful and joyful.  Although we knew we could ask for things and expect them to be delivered, we had never officially identified the concept as the Law of Attraction.  When I opened myself up to such teachings, I became acutely aware of the notion of abundance.  I finally understood there are no winners or losers in life.  There is more than enough for everyone!  We can all have what we want, and all of our needs will be met if we open up life to bring those things forward.

It was that concept that changed my focus, and I realized we can all be one rich, huge, harmonious society.  We should all be able to do what makes us happy, and we should be financially comfortable or even filthy stinking rich if that's what we want!
Consider this concept:  For every task on this planet that needs doing, there is someone who loves to do that task, right?  There are people who just love to clean house.  There are people who are passionate about building furniture.  Some get their kicks designing buildings.  Others crave the stimulation of physical labor.  Likewise, for every person who loves to do that particular task, there are at least 10 other people who are unable or don't like to perform that task and would be willing to pay the other person for their help.

So - let's take my friend Allison.  Allison is a phenomenal interior designer.  She knows just where to put each piece of furniture so it fits perfectly in a room.  She picks out the perfect colors without hesitation, and she's overall on the mark every time.  A lot of people pay her a lot of money for her services, and she makes a great living.  She spends her time shopping in terrific stores and builds great relationships with the store owners who love to see her and often let her know about beautiful new pieces they've found.

There are certain things Allison doesn't really enjoy around her house.  She especially hates to mow her lawn.  It's back-breaking work for her and she doesn't enjoy it.  She also doesn't have a lot of time to clean her house since she's enjoying herself shopping for great furniture for her clients.  Allison pays her landscaper to take care of her yard.  She pays a housekeeper to come once a week, and she pays her mechanic to look after her car.  She's doing what she loves, making great money, and she doesn't have to worry about the things she doesn't enjoy so much.

Do you see the circle of abundance yet?

You see, Allison is providing a service to her clients and getting paid well to do what she loves.  She interfaces with many store owners who are passionate about what they do and make money from what she spends in their store.  Allison also pays a landscaper who loves property maintenance to take care of her yard.  She was lucky enough to find someone great at cleaning house who is happy to make good money working on several different homes.  Allison also has a regular mechanic who enjoys tinkering on cars and makes good money with an abundance of customers.

Now let me tell you about Allison's landscaper, Tony.  Tony is passionate about a beautiful green lawn and has a lot of clients who pay him very well to take care of their landscaping.  Tony isn't so crazy about keeping organized, so he hires a bookkeeper to do his books.  He hates to cook, so he hires a personal chef to do his food shopping and prepare weekly meals for him.  He also frequents restaurants for a good meal especially on the weekends.  Like Allison, he's also doing what he loves, making great money and not worrying about things he can't do.

Are you getting the picture?

We're all connected in this huge circle, and we can all benefit and be rich and happy together!

All you have to do is set yourself up to do what you love in a way that will allow others to compensate you for that task they either can't or don't want to do.  You then compensate others to do those things you can't or don't want to do.  They do the same with other people in their circle, and they do the same and so on to create a perfect link of happiness and wealth.

See, we CAN all be rich and happy!  What are you waiting for?  Let's get to work!
